welcome.

Today is the day that I have launched my new blog LIVE to everyone I know, everyone who follows us, and to people yet to come. The start of this blog has been a culmination of A LOT of different dreams, goals, desires, and ambitions. I had another blog before this. If you’ve followed or known me for any length of time, you may have seen or heard me talk about it. It was called Journal of a Mom. And that’s exactly what it’s been. My journal, of sorts. A place that when I became a mom, probably saved my life. At least creatively. It set in motion for what was to be my life today. It made the world bigger than I ever thought it could be. It made me believe that I actually COULD make my own dreams come true. No matter who believed in me and who didn’t. I’ve blogged there for four years and that little space in the universe has been faithful to me. Many of YOU have followed me there and have been faithful to me.

I am beyond grateful for that.

But as I wrote there, it started becoming apparent to me that I have A LOT more to say that just about mommy stuff. I am a mom, yes. I put motherhood before all things that I do- right under God and being a wife. It is what I was created to do and God has blessed me with the ability to be a mom to two amazingly crazy, wonderful, tiring little boys. Being a mom is most of what I do. But it’s not ALL that I do. And I found that on my blog, Journal of a Mom, I was being prohibited from being able to really be who I actually AM, at this point in my life.

I am a child of God, a wife, a mother. I am a photographer and I truly see the world in snapshots. I’m a writer, a dancer, an artist and I love weddings. I love people and babies and coffee. I love talking to others about reaching their potential. I am deeply inspired about encouraging someone else to reach their own dreams, no matter what they may be. I am passionate about helping others find a way, when the rest of the world says ‘That’s not possible.’, mostly because I’ve been there. I think being a woman is so much fun, most days. I love sharing things that I adore with others. I’m not a good cook, but I wish that I was. I have made a lot of my very own dreams come true, by the grace of God. But I still have so much more I want to accomplish. So much more life to live.

And I want to write about ALL of it.

So it was time for a change. And I started this blog and have created a new space to be my authentic self here and to share ALL of it with you. My one true goal, with this new endeavor, is to inspire you. To make you realize and remember that while there is a lot of evil, hate, and negative things in this world, there is still beauty. And even in the midst of your own trials and storms, you CAN find the good. Even if it’s just in the small things. When you visit my blog, you will see my heart. I will let you in, in big things and small. Things that are just meant to make you smile.  To get to know me, Jason, Cruz and Rider a little more than you can through Facebook or our Session Nine Photographers blog. Above all, I want you to be encouraged in that whatever you are dreaming, it IS possible. You can make your dreams come true, even if others say no. There is room enough for ALL of us in this world, to find our own little corners and to create the lives that we’ve always dreamed. It is my goal to uplift, encourage and INSPIRE anyone who stops by here. My hope is that whether you’re single, engaged, a bride, a mom, or an empty nester that you’ll find inspiration here.

To stop by for a visit and leave smiling a little bigger than when you first came.

Thank you so much for checking it out. I’m beyond excited to have you here and I hope you’ll be back day after day to see what I’m up to.
