We made it home! And surprisingly fast, which was nice. We left before breakfast and we were home before dinner! Our kids were exhausted and although it’s only a one hour time difference, it still has sucked a little to jump back into the swing of things.
MEANING: OUR KIDS WERE UP AT FIVE AM. Five.
But we had a great drive! We stopped at Four Corners to check it out. We were passing right by it so it would be sorta stupid if we didn’t. But it was actually really cool!
Our kids were kinda over it. It was much hotter there than it was in CO, so Cruz instantly said he wanted to go back. Yikes. But we had a good time taking photos as a family and with my mom. We weren’t there for too long before we were back on the road!
And all I can say, is thank God for iPads! Man. The trip home COULD have been brutal, but between the electronics like the iPads and movies we brought, we were totally good.
Like I said, we made it home in time for dinner. And somewhere along the trip, this little miss found her feet! She’s seriously to die for cute.
(I can NOT figure out why this picture is so big. HAHAHA. I tried to make it smaller and after my fifth failed attempt, I decided to abandon my efforts and that you will have to deal with gigantic adorable baby.)
All in all, we had an amazing time together as a family! A little work, a little play, lots of adventure and laughs! We are trying to decide where to go next year, and we can’t WAIT.
If you have any suggestions on where we should go for the Fourth of July next year, we’d love to hear it!
